List of existing Civil Surgeons in General line - communicated for verification

ALL DOCTORS IN JDHS/DDHS/ESI KINDLY FURNISH DETAILS IN THE FORMAT AND SEND THRU JDHS/DDHS/ESI SUPDT TO DMS OFFICE AT THE EARLIEST IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF GO 354 , KINDLY VERIFY YUR QUALIFICATION AND PRESENT STATION OF WORK

THE LIST OF DOCTORS MENTIONED IN THE LIST AS CIVIL SURGEON ARE AS PER RECORDS IN DMS OFFICE.
IF ANY DISCREPENCIES IN YUR DESIGNATION AND PANEL YEAR KINDLY GET IT CORRECTED.

particulars for the post of CCS(Common/ General /Specialists) called  for the year 2009 – List of existing Civil Surgeons in General line - communicated for verification - Regarding.

      It has been  proposed to fill up the existing posts of Chief Civil Surgeon (Common/General/Specialists) from the category of Civil Surgeons. Hence a list containing the names of Medical Officers who are at present working in the cadre of Civil Surgeons in General line are enclosed for necessary action.
     
2) All the Unit Officers are requested to go through the list and to furnish their reports after scrupulously following the instructions mentioned below:

a)     As per the new pattern promotions /re-fitment are to be given to the posts of Chief Civil Surgeon(General/Specialists). The Medical Officers with MBBS Degree qualifications will qualify for CCS(G) promotions and others with PG Degree/Diploma  qualifications will be moved to the Specialists posts depending upon the vacancies. Therefore verification of qualification of each and every Medical Officers enlisted above plays a vital part in determining their promotions/re-fitment. Hence utmost  caution should be exercised in furnishing the qualification-based reports. Any false information / mis-matched particulars are furnished promotion of an individual  will be affected and for this lapse  each and every Officers right from Assistant/Office Superintendent/Administrative Officer/JDHS will be held responsible and stern disciplinary action will be initiated against them for negligence / dereliction of duty.

b)     Second important aspect in this re-fitment exercise is that  verification of present station and designation  of all the above Medical Officers and if there is any change it should be properly reported in the format enclosed .


c)      The details of Civil Surgeons who have relinquished their promotions for the post of Senior Civil Surgeon in various panels have not been furnished and hence proper communication should be made to them in order to submit their appeals. Those Medical Officers who have completed the three years relinquishment period before 23.10.09 are requested to send their willingness and appeal for re-fitment to the post of Chief Civil Surgeon.
  
d)     The Medical Officers holding double Degree qualification should
exercise one time option for promotion / re-fitment  in any one of the Specialities  according to their choice and their future promotions will be determined based on this option only and it cannot be altered at any time.

e)     All the Medical Officers enlisted above are already promoted as
Civil Surgeon as per this office records  and if any of them are still in the rank of Assistant .Surgeon / Senior Asst. Surgeon their designation may be changed by obtaining a copy of panel / promotion order from this Directorate by deputing the concerned Assistant to this office.   

            All the above details should be verified in a rapid manner  and  if there is any change it should be identified and submitted in the  format enclosed both in hard and soft copy  on or before 16.3.2010 without fail. The original list now received should also be resubmitted to this Directorate along with the signatures of officials noted therein.

CML 2009

PREFACE

The Tamil Nadu CIVIL MEDICAL LIST was first prepared in 1894. In the initial stage this was published quarterly. Subsequently, this was made a Half Yearly publication, and gradually it has been made a biennial publication, due to vast expansion of the Medical Department during the past several decades.

The CIVIL MEDICAL LIST is the vital record which helps the administration to assess the seniority and other service particulars of Government Doctors in various categories.

The CIVIL MEDICAL LIST containing various information in respect of the Medical Officers is published by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services who is the Unit Officer for the cadre maintenance of various categories as a whole in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Enormous effects have been put to collect the required particulars and compile the present CIVIL MEDICAL LIST as on 01/10/2009 comprising of the Medical Personnel working under all the Directorates in Health and Family Welfare Department by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, with the co-operation extended by the Director of Medical Education, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI) etc. However the scope for any omission due to non-receipt of required particulars etc cannot be ruled out. Such omissions may kindly be brought to the notice of DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL AND RURAL HEALTH SERVICES, 256-258, ANNA SALAI, CHENNAI-600 006 on or before 31/01/2010, so as to enable us to publish corrected CIVIL MEDICAL LIST as on 01/01/2010.

Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, takes pleasure in thanking the Principal Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Chennai-600 009 for his kind guidance for carrying out the above work. I also thank the Director of Medical Education, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI) for the valuable help and co-operation extended by them in bringing out this publication.

I acknowledge the Special Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, was kind enough to sanction and provide a new computer. Government’s contribution in providing computer data service particulars has quickened the completion of this work.
